This gallery is considered one of Bilbao’s finest, both for the substance of the work being exhibited as well as for the legroom itself. This new gallery was opened in 1998 by Jon Abad Biota, a well-known painter. It is flanked by the Fine Arts Museum on one side and the Guggenheim Museum on the other. The gathered artworks that are being housed in this gallery are of diverse artistic styles within contemporary art, at the same time not extremely radical. The 42 square meter display legroom exhibits work by gifted Spanish artists, such as María José Romero Gascón, Héctor Urra, Borja Uribe, Javi Rivero, Veva Linaza, Xabin Egaña, Manu Beltrán Heredia, Alain Sistiaga, Nisa Goiburu, Gisela Schneider and Fernando Biderbost, among others. Every year, the Aritza Gallery holds a month-long exhibit of its permanent anthology. The gallery has been in existence for a little over three decades already and throughout out the years, it has maintained its reputation of displaying only the finest innovative and unconventional masterpieces from the best Spanish artists. Galería de Arte Artebi. Supermercado de Arte lives true to its name for having a massive collection of original art. It has over a thousand artworks produced by over a hundred painters. This is literally a supermarket of exquisite art. Both the locals and tourists have been feasting their eyes with the finest artworks house in this establishment since the year 1995, when it first opened its door to the public. Every artist exhibits ten paintings, no larger than 60x80cm. The medium of these paintings vary: watercolors, oils, etchings or drawings, classical or more modern in style. Aside from the fact that there are lots of paintings to suit whatever your fancy may be, the paintings are priced at rates that are truly reasonable. The Galería de Arte Juan Manuel Lumbreras is a well-managed gallery that consists of three different spaces which displays works by some of the world's most renowned artists such as Matisse, Mir, Picasso, or Tpies. The gallery also houses works of fresh and undiscovered individuals with that particular artistic flair. The third hall is specifically reserved for works of art on paper -- etchings, graphic arts, watercolors, and the like. Prices for these can range anywhere from (EUR 72.12) to (EUR 24040.48). If you are an art aficionado, and you are the type who enjoys figurative art more than any other artworks, then the Galería de Arte Rembrandt is the place to be. For several years, this gallery has contributed much to Bilbao’s pop culture. Their exhibits consist of neo-realist, realist and impressionist art. By and large, the paintings on display are oils or watercolors, and are generally intended for commercial purposes. Galería de Arte Rembrandt has already gained frequent clients through the years. The Tavira gallery covers more than 100 square meters of defined area available for the ten exhibits that is organizes every year ever since 1975. Galeria Ederti opened in 1974 with an art trade fair devoted to Auguste Rodin, the man responsible for a number of exquisite bronze sculptures. At present, the gallery is open to any quality art, whether it be international or Spanish.

By and large, paintings take much of the space in this gallery over sculptures. This gallery has exhibited works by Chillida, Gordillo or Urrutikoetxea, as well as other prominent artists. Aside from the transitory exhibits, there is a permanent collection on display of artists who at one time or another exhibited their work here. Open Hours: Mondays at 5 pm to 8:30 pm; Tuesdays to Saturday at 11:30 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 8:30 pm.

Galería Venus has been open since 1983. On display are over 300 paintings by 55 diverse artists with different mediums and creative approach. The gallery incorporates works of brilliant painters such as the late Larroque and Largatza. The works of contemporary artists such as Fuster, Calabuch, M. Eguiluz, Calle Alberdi and Fuentesmur are also included. Occasionally, they feature bronze objects and sell them at reasonable prices. If you are longing to have a portrait of yourself, this gallery is a good destination. They have in-house artists who can do your portrait in oil or pastel medium. Located in Bilbao’s old quarter, K2 is one unique establishment that is frequented by patrons for many different reasons. On the other hand, an extra reason may be because it often organizes photographic exhibits both of the expert and neophyte photographers, and this is what sets this bar apart from the rest of Bilbao bars. Every month, you can expect a different set of photos with really innovative styles and themes. Photograph enthusiasts and even ordinary patrons will simply enjoy the ambience that this bar provides. The bar is open daily from 10:30 am up to 2:30 am of the next morning.

The main rule that the Sala de Exposiciones del BBVA upholds is that the works in display should be informative and not just for show. Sala Juan Larrea has an ideal location that ought to be envied by other establishments. The premise where it is situated enjoys a large amount of foot traffic. The huge window of the gallery deliberately allows the thousands of passers by to have a quick peek of what is going on inside.

The Sala Juan Larrea chiefly displays figurative and commercial paintings such as still-life portraits and landscapes from the areas surrounding Bilbao. The Tienda - Galería Basandere is a relatively new gallery compared to the others which have been around for decades. It has just opened its doors to the public in July of 1998. This gallery has also helped in promoting internationally the names and works of local Bilbao artists and sculptors such as Dora Salazar, Judas Arrieta, and Mavi Revuelta.

The shop is considered a haven for the tourist looking for various legitimate Bilbao keepsakes. They include in their merchandise an extensive range of crafts, food products, books and records from the Basque country, and several artworks, of course. This shop sells paintings and sculptures by forefront Basque artists who have won scholarships and prizes for their collective or individual work. All of this is to help promote these young artists beyond Bilbao, and even beyond Spain. The gallery also has a permanent collection of graphic art. Windsor Kulturgintza is currently under the leadership of Roberto Sáenz de Gorbea, and it features the latest trends in painting, sculpture, photography and installation art. It has also become a member of the Basque Contemporary Art Galleries Association. This uncomplicated, trouble-free, white-walled arcade has seen works by many Basque artists and renowned artists, such as Joan Brossa, Cristòfol and Jorge Oteiza.

On the other hand, the younger generation has been aptly represented by Candaudap, Chus Meléndez, Sonia Rueda and Dora Salazar, among others. This gallery has always played a part in the Contemporary Art Trade Fair (ARCO) in Madrid. Individual exhibits take place from October to June, and collective exhibits from July to September. This cultural center is currently situated the former stock exchange building right smack in the heart of the old quarter of Bilbao. It opened its doors to the public in the year 1993, and has since been known to periodically organize artistic and educational exhibits. Some of these exhibits have included paintings, photography, and works by artists under the Association of Basque Watercolor Artists, and Friends of the Artistic Reproduction Museum in Bilbao. Open Hours: Tuesday to Friday at 11 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 9 pm; Saturdays at 11 am to 2 pm and 6 pm to 9 pm.
